Wise-cracking
jokester Judson Moon was 12-years-old when he ran for
President. It wasn't really his idea, though. His best
friend, Lane, encouraged him! He promised to become
Judson's campaign manager if Judson would agree run.
Judson bragged that he didn't know anything about running
the country and wouldn't have the faintest idea how
to get the country into a war or make the country pile
up a huge debt, but he did vow to abolish homework.
Kids started listening. Lane started planning. And adults?
Adults snickered and didn't take him seriously. After
all, he couldn't meet the age requirement, could he?
And didn't the law say that the President had to have
lived in the United States for 14 years? How could he
squeeze 14 years out of his 12-year-old life?
Nevertheless,
when the Moon election machine started rolling from
, it rolled through every obstacle in his path. Campaigning.
Raising campaign funds. Choosing a vice-presidential
running mate. Naming a beautiful "First Babe,"
a constitution amendment, and even a scandal, Moongate!
Would he...could he...actually roll through the electoral
college? Grab a book and come along for the fun! In
the process, you'll learn about the election process
and find yourself rolling on the floor with laughter.
